Bill Good: Chief Executive Officer

Vast experience in company acquisitions and selling businesses

Bill Good has a mechanical engineering degree from Birmingham University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Robson Rhodes in London.

Bill went on to gain his commercial experience within FMCG within the food processing industry at Brooke Bond PLC, where he developed the 100 page internal manual on company acquisitions.

For the last 31 years he has held senior positions within manufacturing and service related companies. This included Managing Director of a TI Group PLC subsidiary, TI Stainless Tubes. The company employed over 620 employees in the steel processing industry selling to the nuclear, power generation, chemical, processing and distributors.

He managed the sale of this company to Sandvik Group PLC. He continued to run the business for a further 13 years, taking on the additional role of head of Sandvik Steel in the UK overseeing steel related companies including cutting blades for the packaging and printing industry, medical and dental implant materials, as well as a distributor of Sandvik imported products. His role included acquisitions within these sectors.

Since leaving Sandvik he personally bought into a street furniture company – Ollerton Ltd which he subsequently sold to Marshalls PLC, where he acted on an interim basis as sales director for the street furniture division.

He was head hunted as Group MD into Thomas Walker PLC a manufacturer of metal fittings for the clothing industry, supplier of lanyards and badges for corporate wear and the exhibition industry, and with a stampings operation supplying hardware principally into various elements of the construction industry.

He has and is continuing to hold NED roles, which include intellectual holding companies, water and energy management companies, The Birmingham Assay Office, The Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Pebble Lights an LED lighting company, and engineering companies, during which he has negotiated sales of a number of them.
